The first series ( Anime Oyako Gekijo) began at the home of a young boy named Christopher Peeper (Sho Azuka in Japanese) who discovers the magical Bible "Superbook" (Timebook) that speaks and sends him, his friend Joy (Azusa Yamato), and his clockwork toy robot Gizmo (Zenmaijikake) back in time to the early events of the Old Testament. Twenty episodes are available on DVD and several episodes have been broadcast on CBS and ABC Family in the United States and GMA Network in the Philippines in Tagalog and Cebuano dubbed version. Reruns of episodes from both the first and second series are broadcast on a local Christian television channel in Florida, "Good Life 45".Ī new CGI animation Superbook series is in production by the Christian Broadcasting Network.
It was also broadcast in the Philippines through ZOE TV, GMA Network and ABS-CBN.

The Spanish version can be seen on different Spanish stations like the Chilean TV Station, UCV Televisión at 6 a.m. It is also airing on the National Religious Broadcasters network and the Gospel Channel in the United Kingdom. Superbook, also known as Template:Nihongo, is an anime television series initially produced by Tatsunoko Productions in Japan in conjunction with the Christian Broadcasting Network in the United States and more recently solely produced by CBN for global distribution and broadcast.
